
Michael Ertl studied chemistry at the University of Bayreuth with a focus on materials chemistry and catalysis. He completed his master’s thesis on electrochemical water splitting in cooperation with a research group at the University of Toronto.
Supported by a scholarship of the Hanns-Seidel Foundation, he researched inorganic layered structures and their behavior in electrochemical processes.
In 2020, Mr. Ertl joined the Chemistry/Life Science team at WUESTHOFF & WUESTHOFF as a patent attorney trainee. His work focuses in particular on the fields of chemistry, clean and green technologies and medical technology.
