Alessandro Savio studied Aerospace Engineering (B. Eng) and Aeronautical Engineering (M.Sc.) at the Polytechnic University of Milan (PoliMi). His master’s thesis concerned a preliminary study of a metal running surface for alpine skiing in the context of a multidisciplinary joint research project further involving the PoliMi Departments of Mechanical Engineering and Materials Engineering. He received his master diploma in 2016.
After completion of his studies, Mr. Savio was selected by the European Patent Office (EPO) for participating in the the so-called Pan-European Seal Professional Traineeship Program, a 1-year internship at the EPO premises in Munich. By working side-by-side with a regular EPO Examiner dealing with patent applications in the technical field of spraying apparatuses and nozzles, Mr. Savio gained a valuable on-the-job professional work experience in the patent grant procedure. At the end of the traineeship, Mr. Savio was awarded a merit diploma.
In January 2018, Mr. Savio started as a patent engineer at WUESTHOFF & WUESTHOFF. He is mainly active in the fields of aeronautics and space technology, mechanical engineering, mechanics, medical engineering, automotive technology and information technology.
