Mr. Hilbig received his degree in Electrical and Computer Engineering from the Technical University of Munich in 2005. During his studies, he had worked for the Nokia Siemens Networks (site planning) and Siemens Ltd. (central technology lab, neuro informatics) for five years and gained extensive experience in the field of control engineering, focusing on robotics and artificial intelligence. In the course of his work, he gained project experience and an extensive knowledge in implementation of locating systems.

Upon his graduation from the chair of real-time computer systems, Mr. Hilbig started practicing European and German Patent Law at a major IP law firm in Munich. At this office he was engaged in all issues concerning Intellectual Property, focusing on drafting patent applications, patent prosecution procedures and opposition procedures before the German and European Patent Office, and prosecution procedures before the International Bureau (IB) of the World Intellectual Property Organization (WIPO).

Mr. Hilbig joined WUESTHOFF & WUESTHOFF in early 2010. Mr. Hilbig currently focuses on European and German Patent Law, including drafting and prosecuting applications, mainly in the fields of electrical and computer engineering and software-related inventions. His activities also include opposition, nullification and infringement procedures as well as expert-opinion cases.
