Axel Katérle studied electrical engineering at the Technical University of Munich, graduating in 1993. His principal specialty lay in the area of communications technology with a particular focus on network theory, communications networks, electronic devices, high-frequency electronics, and cybernetics.

Mr. Katérle was admitted to the Bar of German Patent Attorneys in 1997 and the Bar of European Patent Attorneys in 1998, following several years of training at a noteworthy Intellectual Property law firm in Munich. In the ensuing years he established his own practice prior to setting out to New York for a one-year term with a leading U.S. Intellectual Property law firm. Whilst in the U.S., he passed the Registration Examination for U.S. Patent Attorneys and Agents.

Subsequent to his return to Germany in 2003, Mr. Katérle joined WUESTHOFF & WUESTHOFF. Since then, he is involved in all aspects of obtaining, defending and enforcing national and international patents. His expertise covers an array of technical areas including semiconductor devices, integrated circuits and mobile communications systems.
